It certainly was erased. Longtime readers of this thread remember exactly what it said - which was pretty much the same as another post "loveman" made. I'd really appreciate it if SI would investigate this matter further.

Like I told Olivier, the post to which you responded has not been modified recently. One reason being there is no way to have modified it unless someone has managed too pull off a very sophisticated hack of our DB that also did not get logged.

One reason being there is no way to have modified it unless someone has managed too pull off a very sophisticated hack of our DB that also did not get logged. The DB server is not even visible from the Internet, so it would have had to go through the webserver, and everything is logged specifically so we can investigate suspected break-in attempts.

The odds of that happening for something like this are... umm... too small for words. <<<

Well, on the Prodigy Internet bulletin board system about four years ago, someone did manage to "hack" into the system and modify posts to the point that people were even given false administration titles.

You telling us that SI's servers are more sophisticated than Microsoft's? They've been hacked plenty of times.

The odds of that happening for something like this are... umm... too small for words.
