Just as with your die cost calculations you always forget depreciation of combined unused or partially used fab space of all its fabs needs to be spread over sold cpu/flash/chipset dies.

Perhaps in your mind but that's not the way the rules work. You can use creative accounting to conjure up an $800 million loss but it's not true. Flash Fabs are older fully depreciated assets, as are most of the equipment.
