There is a huge old dilapidated mansion near Hamilton Montana, built by one of the Copper Kings of Montana, Marcus Daly, for his leisure time. When I saw it was still in the unrestored state, and the preservation efforts were barely sufficient to keep it from falling in. However, it was open for visits, and, periodically, for a mystery theatre. I bet you would love to experience that.

I still remember one greatroom. You could still see the outlines of the trophy heads that had once hung on the wall. Very spooky.

Marcus Daly was one of the founders of the Anaconda Copper Mining Company, the company that built the Berkley Pit in Butte. It is such a huge hole in the ground that men working in the bottom look like ants from the top.

Your dinner mystery: did it involve Private Eyes and little old rich ladies? Was there a Colonel Mustard? A butler?
