Dan3, You're mistaken.

I didn´t say "all OEMs". I referred to those that don´t. Big names like IBM, Fujitsu-Siemens, Nec, Lenovo and Acer come to mind. At least the last four are major customers for AMD processors, but they don´t offer Opteron for the mainstream business server space (Dell´s main playground, 1-2 way), and why should they? To satisfy all the hot demand for Opteron business servers that...doesn´t exist? If it did, at least HP´s Opteron server sales should skyrocket, and should reach 100K+ quickly, considering the lack of competition in the market.

If they don´t, Dell´s statements are not even spin, but rather fact. The proof is in the pudding (sales numbers).
