That's the story I'm going with! I haven't had any problems with Microsoft and Adaware SE behind a router w/ SP2. Keeping all digits crossed....

MS Antispyware beta has a feature that I like under "Advanced tools/system explorers" You can look at your start up programs and running processes and selectively deselect certain ones if you want. The explanation of what they are and what they do is excellent, and is an improvement over Spybot S&D, which has pretty much the same features, either program is well worth installing for this alone, even if they didn't find any spyware.
