it is not that I feel that intelligence is limited to this nation Searle it is that this nation or I should say this state is constantly decreasing funding for education.

The recent scores here can pretty well be summed up as the the more costly an area is to own a house in the greater the scores will be in elementary schools. That certainly does not say much for the concept of equal.

People I know moved their children into what they felt was a better school by using a false address. The children were super stars in the school they had attended and had to struggle to catch up in the new school. The children had the potential they are now performing well in the new school.
My question is why was the school they left allowed to teach below par? The answer is area and reduce the standards as I suppose that is the easy way out rather than have high standards and equal for all.

Recently in Ca they cut back the GATE < gifted and high achiever> program by 18% and if a nation is going to have a bright future it helps a bit to fund that future. All schools receive additional funds for children that fall in this category. Problem is the upper income area schools have parents capable of self funding additional curriculum for these students whereby children in the lower income areas parents do not have the same type of funding ability.

One can be born clever but one needs access to knowledge to be educated.
