Your conversation with Ish dealing with genetically modified tobacco and fish, combined with your remarks to redfish on firearms, brings to mind one of my favorite bumper stickers:

If Lutefisk is outlawed, only outlaws will have have Lutefisk.

One may have to be Norwegian to appreciate the humor.
