What you, and all the other pro-handgun people don't understand, is that you are forcing your standards down my throat as well. I believe your position endangers my safety and makes life cheap and degrades the society I live in. I am just as entitled to my opinion as you are to yours, but like most anti-handgun people I at least try to express mine politely. The almost immediate hostility and belligerence and SHOUTING that I encounter whenever this comes up really turn me off. So many of you are SO vehement. That is exactly why having this discussion is hopeless and pointless.
