<Massive SPENDING is a definite recipe for fiscal disaster?> Government spending hauls real economic resources out of the civil economy and consumes them. That leaves the civil economy with less available resources after the government's spending splurge. These are the goods which would otherwise have been there to aid in repairing the civil economy. PS On the other hand, I support massive Government spending for Art (the picture of Truth), Music (the sound of Truth) and, of course, Holy Philosophy (the Idea of Truth).
