You don't believe Bush is trying to hide behind the Pope now after the worst political month he's ever had? If you don't believe that you're really naive.

Also important to Bush and the GOP is to stop the Latinos from voting democratic. The only way they can figure out is to secretly suppport illegal immmigration and to try and appear as if they're close to the Pope. Even though the Pope didn't like Bush and disagreed with most of his policies.
