Sure they are real.

They are just not owned by big corporate money. They are independent and can write what they want without worrying about editorial policies handed down to them by big money. Most other magazines are owned by corporations.

So what if they don't like Bush. The majority of the country doesn't like Bush either, so they represent majority American opinion. Bush's approval rating is a what, 44%?

The Guardian carries the same article. And so do a lot of magazines and newspapers on the web. Mother Jones is very liberal but is a serious journalistic magazine, not a political spin site like Newsmax. They have proven their credibility over the decades.

As we know the "liberal media" rarely investigates the corruption of Bush-Cheney and company. But that may be changing now with Delay's fall from power. Delay was the biggest bully in DC and as he falls, the press and moderates aree going to be a lot less afraid of taking on the rightwing. Just a pity this didn't happen a year ago or the entire SWiftVet funding mechanism may have been put out of order, and all those lies about Kerry mioght not have been on TV.

Delay and Karl Rove (The House House) are connected by the same under the table funding resources, principally out of Texas. They do it the old-fashioned way, by extortion and by selling legislation to regulated industries. It's as bad as it gets in the government. A big "For Sale" sign out for any industry which wants to help them fund their dirty campaigns and luxury retreats. Under Delay, lobbyists have never had more power, for a price of course. These scandals are just the tip of the iceberg. A lot of rats are going to jump ship. You saw Santorum jump today knowing he's probably not going to ge re-elected. Ironically, Terri Schiavo was what did it. Thanks, Terri, you may turn out to be a real heroine.

GZ, Mother Jones magazine has been around for decades, long before the idiot son of an asshole was elected president.

it's a hate-Bush front, your typical demohack drivel

That being said, it is a left-wing publication.

motherjones.com

Mother Jones is an independent nonprofit whose roots lie in a commitment to social justice implemented through first rate investigative reporting.
