Biased coverage often turns up the truth, but must also be carefully screened. The key is the magazine's journalistic integrity. Or lack thereof. Multiple independent sources are the usual standard, which few rightwing rags pay any attention to at all.

For instance, Drudge, Hannity, Limbaugh and Newsmax have little credibility because they are not only very biased but don't require credible multiple sources, just any anonymous source or even hearsay will do. In fact they are not really journalists at all, just political hitmen. But more serious sites like Salon.Com have some of the best journalists in the business and they definitely do their fact-checking.

Ironic the rightwing blamed CBS for getting conned on their Bush Guard story (which is true by the way, just poorly sourced in that case) when they regularly ignore sourcing and do shoddy journalistic work. for instance no comparison between the Washintgon Times and Post. The Post is twice as credible because they use twice as much scrutiny and investigation. The Washington Times is half newspaper, half propaganda rag, sort of a hybrid.
