my first flash back is neighbors like you when i ran a delivery terminal, during allocations, worked in supply and distribution, cut contracts for exchanges and terminalling agreements. Busted my ass to get heating oil to customers who were about to run out in winter, got gasoline to prime locations during winter storms , summer floods, etc. Oh, and i worked in pricing many years ago working on competitive bids for new business. Let me assure you there is no collusion. This industry perhaps more than any other has been investigated by congress for decades. Like any industry i expect you find independent managers who may for self interest have conflict of interests but this is not a policy.
