No ifs or buts about it. The U.S. is murder capital of the western world by a factor of 2 to 200.

Nothing on he page that you linked to even hints at the US being ahead in per capita murders by a factor of anywhere close to 200.

Also when you are talking about other countries you have a lot of other differences besides gun laws. In the US there is more per capita murders without guns than in those countries despite the fact that the easier access to guns should shift many murders to gun murders.

Within the US the states that are freer in allowing people to have guns have less murders per capita.
