The NRA is run by far right extremist racists now. heston's own unguarded words prove the entire justfication for the NRA lies in the race issue. If that post about them being founded by New York union officers is true (a big if), then they have really moved far to the right since then. But I suspect there's a lot more to the story, and that the NRA has purposefully planted that same story 1000 times on the internet for a reason. They're trying hard to hide the fact that their closet racists and dangerous extremists. The proof is that there is absolutely no reason in the world for them to have AK-47's other than mass murder. So who do they plan to murder if there is a government they don't like? What is the purpose? And why stop at AK-47's? Why not bazookas and heavy machineguns? Why not bombs and othe terrorist weapons?
