I would presume at Hector's cash income levels that he is likely not hit by AMT even by this large of an item - especially if he is in TX with no income tax.

Sorry for the confusion - I was saying that if this was an ISO, then the AMT bite would force a disqualifying disposition. But it appears to be a NQ, so I'd say the AMT issue is moot - we have no way of knowing if he's paying AMT or not. May depend on what sort of tax-shelter activity he's been up to in the past.
