here's an article that says the Iraqi President predicts U.S. forces will be out within 2 years. I posted a couple weeks back that I felt 2 years was about the right timeframe as well, in order to get the Iraqis past getting a constitution in place and then finally an elected gov't that represents the constitution. If we can meet that timetable, it will mark record time in the annals of nationbuilding.

I saw that and I am happy about that......although I wished it were sooner. The thing that is worrisome is that they are giving some of the new Iraqi troops only 8 days of training. By comparison, I think American soldiers get ten weeks of training on average........six weeks of basic training and then the rest is advanced training. Eight days seems a bit short IMO.
