A recent survey of chief financial officers at major corporations found that 65 percent regard immediate action on health care costs as "very important." Only 31 percent said the same about Social Security reform.

Yes, CFOs could care less about SS reform. They have nice pensions and SS to them is immaterial in amount. It is totally a nonissue for them.

The people who are motivated to care about SS reform are the under-40 crowd who have the most to lose, since older generations will effectively being supported by their hard work.

Rising healthcare costs, OTOH, directly affect that CFO's financials every quarter. So, yes, I'd guess they might notice.
