Hey All, What's this Ford trust?

finance.yahoo.com

Is this what I think it is - a subordinated equity class backed by all that junk debt?

Yea right. If the gloom and doomers are going to criticize the US for all its malinvestments, let's not be hypocritical and let China off the hook as it is the biggest Emerging Market bubble of all time.

US goes into recession - China into Depression. Russia was too big to fail, China is too big to save. In the end, the US is still the free-economy whose many years of economic stability degenerated when tempted with excess capital flows and easy money, no different than Argentina, Turkey or Thailand - who are all stronger for it.

China on the other hand thinks they can have their cake (totalitarianism) and eat it too (capitalism). No way.

I have no doubts about China's long-term success, but first they will need introspection.
