Brian, if Buffett did take a position in AMAT, the stock would
move up because of his track record and reputation as a
value picker. Keep in mind that he focuses on consumer
oriented companies with huge potential for long term growth, stability and consumer product demand.

My point was that value is not usually in the sexy names, as implied by a previous post of yours. Most money is made through investments probably considered "boring."
