Bush has no intention of leaving Iraq. Never has had, never will have.

The only way to get out of Iraq is to go over Bush's head to what is supposed to be his boss...us.

He's building a $1-$2B 3,000 person embassy for a country of 25 million (ok they budgeted $590 million for it but they also budgeted $1.7 billion for the war itself LOL) and has somewhere between 11-14 permanent military bases scattered about. Bush's rules also include foreign (read us) purchase (read occupation and theft) of Iraq's oil industry.

Bush wouldn't leave even if Iraq suddenly became as peaceful as Beverly Hills. Iraq is our 51st state and the biggest drain on our economy. The average American gets a huge debt and worldwide multi-generational enmity from Iraq while the Bushies and their cronies get even wealthier.

The real question is: why doesn't the average American understand this by now?
