Excuse me.......you don't see anything wrong with "abridging" the training of Iraqi soldiers from 10 weeks to only 8 days? Never mind.

I am anxious for our soldiers to get out of Iraq but I not so stupid as to expect that 8 days is enough training for someone with no military background.

Ted, how many weeks would you require to learn how to patrol a desert road? Do you think you would be a better patrolman after week 8 of training than you were after week 6 of training????

Well, that's good to hear. I'm just making sure you aren't arguing both sides. If you want us out quick, then shortcuts have to be made. If we take our time, then we don't have to take shortcuts. I actually would prefer no shortcuts. Truth is, we can't afford any more screwups. But it looks like all the recent press points to a 2006 withdrawal timeline. So that is very good news indeed and very much in line with what I've been saying all along.
