Written in stone? It's easy to assume that because the last two cyclical bottoms came 4 years apart in October 1998 and October 2002 that because I am now projecting a cyclical bottom in October 2006 that my opinion is written in stone.

It is not. I find investing is often a humbling experience. When I put forth and opinion, and yes that is all it is, I know that I am placing that opinion under considerable risk of being wrong.

It is indeed an opinion.

One which I will not be surprised to see turn out wrong.

We have a Full Disclosure thread where actual trades can be posted. I agree that we should not do post trades here but that was never my intention.

I would just like to see a rational discussion about making money from investing in AMAT on the AMAT thread.

I don't care if it is based on fundamentals, technical analysis, sentiment analysis, presidential or election year cycles, long term trading, short term trading, long or short.

As long as it pertains to AMAT, or making money from related stocks, in this sector it belongs on this thread or the Wennerstrom thread and we can all benefit from the discussion.
