Today's major remodeling not to be duplicated for a long time is a huge dollar figure. Minor repairs and upkeep are much smaller dollar figures.

No kidding, the first 3 years in my house, I've had to

1. Call them to replace a post on my stair railing because
they used wood infested with powderpost beatles.
2. fix a leaking roof.

3. replace my water heater, the model of which the plumber said was worth about $75.
4. completely replace a leaky shower stall
