I must admit it is frustrating to see the market bounce back and into positive territory after the FOMC minutes were released, and yet this sector is still far under water. And I do not like to see excessive executive compensation while the stock and shareholders, are treading water. I am not going to try to hide that. At the same time, I know of few companies comparable to AMAT in terms of potential.

The last five years have been nothing to brag about for AMAT but that could be because the NASDAQ, SOX and AMAT have all been in secular bear markets.

Even the major indices have struggled to advance above the highs set in 2000:
