It's a desert! How many days training do you need to learn to patrol a desert? You wouldn't be asking that question if you saw the video clip of them trying to fire weapons after 8 days. Answer the question. How many days training do you need to partol a desert road? A lot more than 8 days. Its my understanding that a soldier is responsible for varying forms of fighting, not just one. Certainly, desert roads are in abundance in Iraq but so are swamps, rivers, mts. and cities. Even if the road goes from town to the airport, if you say more than 1 month, please explain what the trainee learns in the 2nd month that they couldn't learn in the first..... Why is the American basic training two months and their advanced training another 1 month? If you can learn all you need to learn in 4 weeks, why does the US take three times longer than you are suggesting? Given your line of questioning and your demeanor, I have assumed that you are some of kind of military expert. If you are not, then you are simply a poseur and don't know what the hell you're asking. ted
