Saw that. Did you see that article on how 1/3rd of our trade gap is due to trade with American companies with foreign subsidiaries? That was an eye-opener. It means our trade gap is inflated by 1/3rd. Having said that, a trade gap of any magnitude is not a terribly good thing. I knew that but we are still importing way too much stuff. The West Coast ports are so busy with ships from Asia that some companies are skipping the West coast completely and sending their products through the Panama Canal to the East coast. And most of the containers going back to Asia are going back empty. ted
