Military medicine IMO has never been that great, but it doesn't cost service members anything. I can't tell if you are talking about disabled Vets anymore or not. Just because you went to Iraq or Afghanistan doesn't automatically make you disabled or in need of long term VA care. These people are no different than anybody else leaving active duty. Nobody leaving active duty without a disability receives medical care as a VA benefit. I didn't and nobody else does either.
