JLA, I have never been on a motorcycle in my life. I have talked with some avid motorcyclists who are adamant in their views that a helmet cuts down on their vision and hearing and thus puts them at risk for an accident, a risk they would not have if their faculties were not impaired by a helmet. Again, I can have no personal opinion on this because I have never been on a motorcycle. For one thing, I cannot abide the ear-splitting noise they make. - Holly
