Hector's "earning machine" comment was made sometime back, as well as a comment that Dell would be onboard by the Opterons birthday (something about not having expected them to be dead last...??) So those hopes don't always work out.

I agree that the lineup of parts that WILL be selling in the NEAR future looks good wrt to Intel, but AMD has a habit of not converting these situations to $ in the bank (other then that golden year of the K7 that generated $$$. It's the ratio of market caps between AMD and Intel when compared to their products that keeps me interested in this stock, but I just want to make money, something Elmer is useful for reminding me.

IMO, the single most bullish event regarding AMD is Intel pulling in the Smithfield launch, and their mad scramble towards DC in general with the kludge approach. There is fear scribbled all over that.
