All my conservative ancestors were there. They used to use the liberals for target practice. They ran out of liberals fast so they were forced to shoot at the enemy. Seriously I can see where Liberalis Uber Alles may need all the defense they can muster as it may the Liberals Passchendale next spring. If the voters were not impressed with the taint of sponsorship last election they will be pretty frosty with it now after our good friend M. Brault cbc.ca gets through with his heartfelt confessions. What did the liberals at the top know and when did they decide to pretend they did not know and to forget about it?, that is the question. How long the voter can suspend disbelief while mandorins piously declare "I knew nothing about the kickback camps" can only be guessed at. Since they were pretty shaky after the last round of allegations in the last election, I think we can rest assured there will a tad of frost in the air when they return to the polls come spring time. The shame is if ALL the money they wasted was 100 million in psuedo arm twisting of friends in the ad business that would be a small matter. The real scandal is they cannot see where to cut the endless rolls of fat that supports the largest and richest civil service in the known world. The real scandal is the endless waste of government motherhood programs like gun control and medi-waste with all the sanctimonious crap about what good it does us, when it has been established to everyone's satisfaction that no serious number of people get killed in Canada by any sort of firearm and we have perhaps the 47th "best" medical care in the civilized world. I am not suggesting you were a fool to vote liberal "patriotically" in the last ten misguided elections, nor that voting for some other party is a stroke of genius, but surely you can see that brown underwear was not died that way by Fruit of the Loom. Politicians of such stripes are the same since Tutankhamen. They bribe us with our own money speaking platitudes and live copiously while our workers toil and worry. Put up with it if you may. EC<:-}
