Good post. Shows that corruption has a long history in the U.S. Yes, we have it here folks. No surprise there.

The only question to economists is can any gov't keep corruption to a minimum so as not to overly impede the workings of market dynamics. In the U.S., corruption has been kept to that minimum, unlike in other countries like India and China where corruption is so ingrained, meaningful reform will take centuries.
