Intel made most of that money on CPUs for PCs and the rest on Flash. On all the rest they lost their butt. The bottom line for sure is impressive so let's agree on that.
Why don't you take a look on what Intel paid for Level One and later for Giga in Copenhagen?


Yes, I know.......I owned Level One when they bought it. I made a ton of $$$. ;~)

They also got screwed when they bought DSP.

Nonetheless, their bottom line looks good, and in this world, that seems to be the only thing that really counts.
