Or in the alternative a lot of US and other companies would be scrambling to build replacement capacity and this would set off a several year boom in CE.

Brian there is always risk to every investment, that is the
nature of the beast. I'm just pointing out that there are
no absolutes when making projections based on unknowns.
I currently hold no semi related stocks. If a recession
does develop, AMAT might not generate the predicted revenues
next year because fabs would reign in their capital
expenditures and the PE would drop further maybe as low as
14. Just a consideration, not that it WILL happen. Consider it food for thought. BB
