Bush has been trying to screw veterans on health benefits.

Yet Bush fought hard to deny the government the ability to negotiate better drug prices with the big pharmas. HUge windfalls profits and giveaways to the big drug companies and HMO's.

The only reason Bush gave in to partly rectify this situation is because democrats made it a campaign issue.

One of the first things Bush did when he came into power was to slash the VA health budget. 90 doctors and 900 nurses were immediately let go. I met a VA doctor last year and asked him if this had really happened. He told me it was worse than that, that their budgets were so tight now that many disabled vets had to wait months and months for appointments.
