Actually, Bush has recinded some of Clintons mistakes. The problem is these decisions get made for political purposes driven by Eastern Elites who have no idea what the west is all about, about the terrain, the people who rely on them etc etc. I have travelled nearly every one of the published trails in the West as offroading is my hobby. Most of the areas I have been to would not be able to be traversed except in a well set up offroad vehicle. Yes, there are some problems such as the Rubicon Trail which is the most famous in the world and located near high density population areas thus probably overused, but for the most part, everything is just as pristine today, as it was a 100 years ago. Many towns RELY on the offroad business, many town RELY on the offroad trails to get around. The West, unlike the East has far fewer paved roads. jdn

No...I care about our parks remaining pristine.

Forest fires from natural lightning are 100X more destructive to parks than any snowmobiles.
