Z, I was comparing the regular Accord vs. the Accord hybrid. EPA says the Accord hybrid will get 29 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway, but I was going by what Consumer Reports observed. Besides, the EPA has been overestimating the fuel economy of hybrids because I suspect their tests may be outdated.

By the way, if you get a full hybrid like the Toyota Prius, you can join a club where they can teach you techniques to maximize your fuel economy. These techniques include driving barefoot to get a better feel of the conditions, conserving momentum, etc. It becomes kind of a sport to see how high the MPG display goes.

Heh, who knows? Maybe this can become a professional sport ... <G>
