I think that is a good deal letting people have there own account.. Perhaps democrats should come to the table with some ideas.

On the social security front, the Dems idea is Social Security. The way to fix it is no big deal, just accept the idea it's social insurance rather than an aggregate of individual 401ks. Then drop the cap on income. Estimates are that will correct about 40% of the short fall. And edge out the retirement age in small increments. Which, of course, is already happening.

That pretty much does the trick so far into the future it's not even worth the kind of wild and wierd guestimating Bush's folks are doing.

As for private accounts, they are definitely a good deal. In addition to social security. I have several. Hope you do, too.
