No question in my mind that health care is highly inefficient.

But what to do? Probably the biggest cause for this inefficiency is the high degree of government influence throughout the health care industry. I doubt, though, that most Americans would be willing to trust the health care business to the free market, even though I think this would probably be the best course.

Given that deregulation and less government is probably unrealistic due to unpopularity of the ideas, what other solutions exist?
