Thanks. I enjoyed The Postman, too, so there are at least two of us. My favorite all time is Canticle for Lebowitz. I never read Day of the Triffids but the movie, the original, is my all time favorite.

Ever since this topic started today I've been trying to find/remember a book that I enjoyed at about the same time as Lucifer's Hammer called Drought. I can't remember details and I can't find it listed anywhere. It's making me crazy.

"The Stand" is on that list. One of my all time favorites. It combines "magical realism" with apolcalypse. King's best, IMO.
