We use the barn for our convenience, mostly. Just like we schedule lambing for 3-4 weeks ahead of pasture, when the weather is more pleasant for us.

We average 225% lamb crop, so lots of triples which can present less than perfectly. Running a little over that this year, so far.

We have no mis-mothering or lamb loss, at least not in the past 6 years since we started working with this highly maternal breed...sheds it's winter coat, down to a slick goat-like coat with no shearing, no docking, no banding, no grain.

Heard of the skinning of dead lambs for a coat, but fortunately never presented with an orphaned or mis-mothered lamb.

Thinking maybe I covered my short at 1173.50, but not if it is taken out. So, I'll post back when I'm sure. ;)
