How long has Goldmoney been around?

Banks in some form or another have been around for over 500 years, but they were not adequately regulated until this past century, and even now the regulation is somewhat problematic.

At least bank deposits are insured by the FDIC.

The protections surrounding the Central Fund of Canada seem pretty solid. All the bullion is in vaults in Canadian banks and is insured on top of that against fraud, theft, etc.

What kind of regulation or insurance governs Goldmoney and protects its users?
