Our Freedoms are never safe and the precedent was set under Abraham Lincoln over 150 years ago when he suspended the writ of habeous corpus in time of national emergency. Today this precedent could reemerge whether real or contrived. Only firearms stand in the way currently of a contrived national emergency. Those rights not a privledge are being eroded by the likes of the Brady Campaign and liberal leftists who saw how gun control worked really well in the USSR and Nazi Germany and their sporting purpose tests.

What is happening is that there's a trend toward socialism. Even Republicans have become socialists. That's what's killing Democrats. The only difference is that Democrats think abortion and gay marriage are good ideas and they want to take your gun. We'll keep having elections, but people want their retirement and health care money and want their government to manage it. I think we've gone too far that direction, but it's not up to me.
