IPO proceeds can only be used for Spansion purposes.

What makes you think that? IPOs usually include shares from selling shareholders as well as new shares issued by the company.

Thanks. I hadn't read the CC comments when I posted. Haven't figured out yet how the IPO will impact AMD's balance sheet.
