I think I see a cause and effect relationship with poverty and WalMart that I am not clear whether you see or not,

Cause and effect relationship between WalMart and poverty? How so?

IMO, WalMart fills a niche. The store has demonstrably low prices on a wide category of goods. People with not as much money to spend as, for example, you or I, can save a decent sum by shopping there. That frees up money to be spent elsewhere.

I recently came across an article on that point, which I'll search out and post later.
