Intel has had piles of cash for the past 10 years. Why do you think it will make any difference in 2006? Fab 36 will produce prototype parts this fall, and production parts in H106, per today's CC, which is on schedule.

Are you just throwing this stuff out there or are you basing this on facts...AMD basically has FAB 36 built and stocked with equipment and in about a month will start testing...by the fourth quarter they will be running tests with 65nm...by the first quarter they will be in production...IBM is helping them with 65nm and will shave off 6 months off the transition...their processor designs will still be better than Intels by the beginning of 2006 and when they get to 65nm Intel better have a new design or it will get ugly...
