IT would be simpler if the framers hadn't "qualified" RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED with the preface about "a well-regulated militia."

I maintain that the preface cites a valid reason for not infringing that right, but doesn't modify it in any way. I wish the Supreme Court would resolve the issue, but I don't think they have the courage. It's much easier to pass the buck to future generations.
