Ethically, you can measure the two parties against the corruption yardstick of their own President. Many Republicans supported the effort to impeach Nixon because ethics trumped politics. No Democrat Senators were willing to support the effort to impeach Clinton because politics trumped ethics.

Yes, and that was exactly my thinking which I wanted to explore in a later post...

It all boils down to the fact that liberals have a serious problem ever admitting to being wrong. That seems to come more easy to people of the opposite political orientation. At least we do sometimes, if not often enough admit to being wrong. Look at this thread where quite a few GOP posters are critical of Bush and his flaws. How many libs ever expressed any such doubt as for the Perfect Clintons?
