I don't have a response to this point which is repeatedly raised about outsourcing. All I can say, is that I am forced to do it all the time, and I agree with Peter, it doesn't really work. Why the venture capitalists are so all over it I'll never know. Maybe this is just the way new business trends work themselves out, maybe there is a sort of "group think" for a while where everyone tries to convince themselves that things are so great and finally they come to their senses? Again, the "cost" element of your point might never become clear to the people who are doing the counting, and thats the real problem.
