I think they can try to lower the price of gold, but the fundamentals against it are still too strong. Gold is still money, dollars are paper promises.

Doing some nibbling for quick trades with KGC and GG and already in the green from their lows.

SoB,

Agradece mucho por su poste: Message 21227693

I'd have responded on the Boom, Boom Room but I been bounced. I found that being hostile and dismissive to the local yokels on that thread was not conducive to posting privilege maintenance. (Hint)

I find your speculation about the renminbi-gunboat dollar diplomacy to be erudite and intriguing. Perhaps we can carry on a conversation about such abstractions down the road. As in, once I get caught up on the wording of the proposed China Currency Act.

In the meantime, here's a view from Canada via Hong Kong that I thought was more clever than most. Hope you find this useful:

Slider,
RE your points, agreed, agreed and agreed, except I sold my core too, to which I plead, A Greed.

AS to:

"The time to re-load THY[PM]BOAT... will come."

And the congregation replies,

Amen and Amen, come quickly Gold Bull...

ggg

Breaks Over?? Already?? Will someone please tell my better half slavery has been abolished!?

Thanks Slider. And right back atcha. Recently, took a few

peeks at a couple of SI's well known energy and PM perma bull threads. And...

As usual...the bag holders R legion, and beginning to get a little testy.(VBG)

As usual with every cycle, VERY few get it right. And the good calls always fall the deaf ears among the great unwashed, ankle biter army of tiny clown dogs.

Maybe the Dopler Effect explains why they're deaf to reason.<g> Once the trap door pops open under their little paws? They're in hi velocity freefall and the sound of continued warning calls can't be heard.

Still luv the way ole Joe put it:

"They don't even ask politely to hold the bag. They rudely snatch it out of your hands."

The response to this sector swoon looks more and more like....

Son Of 2001, on the old SD thread.

Hey Slider,

why not give DROOY a nudge?

Sly, do you an opinion on NW water issue w/respect to DROOY? If not for that issue I'd probably be buying here, but I believe as the article stated that multiple laws apply. As such DROOY may not be able to simply "give back" the mine to the gov. Could get tied up in court and/or cause other problems down the road. No position currently.

I can find/post the articles again if you didn't see them previously.
